BIO
I started racing at my home mountain of Mt. Bachelor when I was nine. I raced for Mt. Bachelor and went to public High School in Bend Oregon. I qualified for the US Ski Team my senior year, at eighteen with good results in Nor-Ams and FIS races in Europe. I lowered my World Rank to 7th in DH and 12th in SG out of Juniors. After a year on the team I started school at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and I took Winter Term off to race with the US Ski Team.

I am now half way through my Junior year at Dartmouth College and I attend school each spring following U.S. Nationals. This will be my 6th year on the ski team but only my 3rd fully healthy year. In 2004 I dislocated my knee in the Downhill at U.S. Nationals. Dr. Steadman in Vail fixed three ligaments and my patella tendon in April and I spent the summer and fall getting back into shape. I was skiing and racing nine months later. The next two years were a struggle with pain and strength limiting my ability to be fast. I was still able to achieve some great results with podiums at Nor-Ams and a Europa Cup 10th place, but I was inconsistent.

It has been just over 2 years since surgery and I am finally back to 100% and feeling good physically. I still call Bend home but I spend most of my time on the road when I’m not at Dartmouth. I had a good season this year with some great results in European Cup races and Nor-ams. I am training hard this summer and I’m looking forward to an even faster season next winter on my new Atomic skis and Boots. I will achieve my goals through good training on and off snow during the summer months.
